Hinckley Library Digital Collections
Welcome to the digital collections of the Hinckley Library.
Our digital collections initiative began in 1999, when a campus committee used grant money from the Civil Liberties Public Education Fund to digitize and make available the Ethel Ryan Photograph Collection. In addition, this Heart Mountain Digital Preservation Project created a website, a slide program, and a history of the Heart Mountain Relocation Center, which is located on Highway 14A midway between Cody and Powell, Wyoming. In 2006, library staff redesigned the Heart Mountain Relocation Center website. In 2011, the Ethel Ryan Photograph Collection was reorganized as part of the library’s digital collections.
From this small beginning, the library continues to select materials from its collection to digitize and make available to researchers. As time permits, we anticipate adding more materials about the Heart Mountain Relocation Center, additional A.J. Lucier photos, and items from the college’s history.
